Fontana Neighborhoods
Fontana has developed several master planned communities in both the North and South end of the City, since the 80’s when the city started its first planned community development called Southridge. Here are descriptions of some of the more popular master planned communities in the North Fontana area.
 The Village of Heritage - Heritage is conveniently located near retail shops in Rancho Cucamonga’s Victoria Gardens, Ontario Mills, as well as several community shopping centers. Heritage is a large commue best parks in the city with sports fields, tennis courts, and a community pool. Heritage is located adjacent to Interstate 15 and borders Rancho Cucamonga on the west.  The Landing - Situated on the east just adjacent to Heritage, you’ll find the community of the Landing. The Landing offers a collection of large single and 2-story homes in a family oriented community environment. The advantage of being located within the Etiwanda School district, close shopping and good fwy access make this an excellent choice to call home.
 Hunters Ridge - Located in the northwest portion of the city and nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, Hunter's Ridge provides some of the best views in the city. There are slightly more than 1,200 homes in the community. There are two parks within the community one of which has lighted softball fields.  Sierra Lakes - Fontana's only golfing community is also one of the newest neighborhoods in the city. Sierra Lakes is located in the north-end of the city near the 210 Freeway. Many of the homes offer views of the beautiful 18-hole championship golf course.  Summit Heights - Reports show Fontana to be one of the strongest retail submarkets in the region. Summit Heights holds new meaning for the saying, ‘location, location, location’ in regards to retail attraction. The over 900 homes situated in the community of Summit Heights benefits from the tremendous success of an incredible number of commercial and retail development opportunities like Kohl’s, Target, Pier One and Linens ‘n Things.  Coyote Canyon - A charming collection of three new home neighborhoods will make up this community of over 600 homes built by Centex. With neighboring schools, lush parks and brand new shopping venues nearby, Coyote Canyon has all the right elements. At Coyote Canyon, there will be plenty of natural open space for residents to hike, bike and jog. Parkways with picnic areas that wind through the community offers a place to gather for barbecues with family and friends.  Citrus Heights - North Fontana’s newest master planned community, Citrus Heights is a rapidly developing community.
